From Bali, With Purpose
I’m Lisa Clark, founder of Shiva Urban. I was born and raised in East Java, Indonesia, and after 25 years working in the nonprofit world in the U.S., I wanted to reconnect with my roots in a more meaningful way.
Shiva Urban grew from that connection. Today, I work directly with Mr. Putu, his wife, and a small group of skilled weavers in Bali to bring their beautiful, time-honored craftsmanship to women here in the U.S.
Each bag is made slowly, by hand, using natural materials and generations of weaving knowledge. In a world of mass-produced fashion, I love being able to offer something with a story—something distinctive, beautifully made, and connected to the people who created it.
